my apartment rock and rolled a little.  it was freaky.  all's fine now.....seems there was a pretty big one about 20 miles away and we must have gotten the aftershock of it...check it out here!

I should be sleeping right now, but instead I'm drinking sparkling water, eating a handful of Special K Fruit and Yogurt Cereal (Yum Yum Yum) and listening to the Halos -- my new favorite band and CD I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I've already listened to about 50 times today and 50 times yesterday....more about that in a minute....

Sooooo, on a completely separate note, Steve and I were driving to The Grove the other day and we drove past Kat Von D's studio, High Voltage (which happens to be just a couple of blocks from the Buzznet offices, 2 blocks from my apartment and 3 blocks from Steve's. Um yeah we both live pretty close to work!) Anyway...there she was out on the street shooting her show...she kept crossing the street at La Brea & Fountain and she looked awesome, but I never realized HOW tall she really is -- She easily has to be 5'10 to start and then she wears gynormous heels -- she was huge. Of course neither Steve or I had a good camera on us -- my battery was dead from shooting the Halos show the night before - -I pulled into the supermarket parking lot and we got out and watched for a few...then we started calling a bunch of people to see if they could come over quick to shoot some pics -- but no luck. We're staking out High Voltage and are determined to get pics of Kat!!! LA Ink premieres tomorrow -- don't forget to tune in -- lots of other good premieres coming up...Watched Rock Life on VH1 tonight -- Cisco and Tony Potato are always hilarious>WhiteStarr's behind the scenes photos and videos from the filming of the show. Also, The Hills -- Yippee -- and Weeds next week too!

Move Over Chihuahua, Mini Donkeys Are Taking Over...

When Paris Hilton got Tinkerbell, mini-pups suddenly became a cultural phenomenon and the accessory of choice for the famous and the not-so-famous.  You couldn’t go anywhere without seeing someone toting around their Chihuahua, Pug, Pekepoo, Schnoodle or Yorkiepoo, usually with the mutt's head peeking out of a Gucci or Chanel bag.    

Well, tiny dogs be scared -- you might soon be traded in for a Mini Donkey.  That’s right, the Country Music Miniture Donkey Ranch in Austin, Texas, has spent years refining their miniature donkey breed to be the perfect pet.

One of these gentle, affectionate and well-mannered Minidonks will run you between $900 to $3,500.  Perhaps Paris will get one sporting a diamond collar from her parents as a “welcome home from the slammer” present.  We’d all probably be safer with her riding a li'l jackass around town than having her get back behind the wheel!  Maybe the Judge could order that!  

Went to Sephora the other day....bad idea since I have no control when it comes to buying makeup...but I found some new favorites...

*I'm ultra picky when it comes to mascara -- especially the brush. This new one from Bourjois is AWESOME!!

The brush isn't really a brush at all -- it's a comb!!  I highly recommend!! You can get it at Sephora or Ulta. Beauuuuutiful lashes! (your b-friend might like it too)

*I love cheek and lip tint and usually am a big fan of Stila's tint stick...sorry Stila but you've now been replaced by Smashbox's brand new O-GLOW.  It's clear, but when you apply it with your fingers it somehow, and don't ask me how, it makes your cheeks turn perfectly rosy-- the same shade you blush naturally.  You can use it on your lips too and it's full of lots of good ingredients for your skin. 

*Pucker up with Benefit's awesome California Kissing lip gloss...minty taste freshens breath. Apply and you're ready to smooch for hours! I hear Amy Winehouse uses it too...

Hanna Beth and I spent our Sunday at the MTV Movie Awards at the Universal Ampitheatre.  Here's how our day went....

12:30 -- Hanna arrives at my house -- She looks gorgeous in her new canary yellow dress and cutie Marc Jacobs shoes to match!  She helps me decide which dress to wear -- Leopard Print it is....

12:45 – We jump in my Jeep and head out.  We're late and have no time for red lights,

 so we blow through one on Sunset….OOPS!  

As we drive Hanna's mom calls and wishes her luck on the red carpet – (Hanna's mom's the coolest – they've partied in Vegas together and at Les Deux!)

12:55 – We arrive at Universal and swing by the Hilton Hotel to pick up Just Jared who's flown in from NYC just for the award show.

12:58 – We get a primo parking spot in the Jurassic Parking lot and head towards check in – along the way, Hanna Beth gets several compliments on her dress – everyone thinks she looks hot!

1:15 – We hike down a trillion stairs (feet already starting to hurt – 5 inch heels were probably not a good idea), check in and head backstage to wait until it's time to hit the red carpet – the backstage area is packed – tons of photographers and press.   We test the camera and mic to make sure all is working and then head to the bathroom for a quick lip-gloss touch up.

1:30 – We meet up with my friend Larry who used to be a big producer for Access Hollywood and now works for the Palm Hotel in Las Vegas.  He invites us to the MTV Video Music Awards in the Fall – OH YEAH – we'll be there!

2:00 – We get escorted out to the red carpet (correction....pink carpet) to our spot and wait for the stars to arrive.  The woman standing next to us is completely anorexic – she seriously looks like Skeletor and has gross scabs on her arms – ewwwwwwww – we try not to look!

2:15 – The videographer for VH1 News recognizes Hanna Beth.  He tells us his younger sister is a big fan of hers, so Hanna films a personal video message for him to give her.   AWWW…that was nice of her…his sister will be psyched!

2:30 – 3:00 – Waiting, waiting, yawn, hot…..and then Hanna spots her friend Greg Lindsay who's on the show "Las Vegas" and he stops to chat for a few.  We spot a guy across the way who has on the UGLIEST jeans EVER and bust out laughing at him.  Then Trevor aka. DJ SKEET SKEET calls to say "whass up!"

3:01 – The Stars hit the carpet…..Andy Milanokis stops for us first – he raps for us – it's lame, he's lame, how old is he anyway?  He tells us he's wearing an orange g-string – that might be as nasty as the scabby woman next to us.

3:05 – Next up is Jason Mewes (aka. Jay from all those Kevin Smith movies).  We only interview him because he looks so FREAKIN' HOT!!  Seriously, he cut his nasty long hair and now he's a cutie! 

  NOW THAT'S AN EXTREME MAKEOVER!

His girlfriend on the other hand – she was seriously gross…yeah…she should have stayed home.   He showed us the watch that Kevin Smith gave him and his cool belt.

3:10 – 3:45 – We do a bunch of other interviews – The girls from The Hills – Lauren, Whitney and Audrina.  Heidi and Spencer show up – 1^st of all – we don't want to interview them because they're so LAME, but we can't stop starring at Heidi's awful boob job.  She seriously must have gone to a discount doctor or something – it was so bad – it looked like she had 2 coconuts implanted.   And Spencer….YUCK-O.  He's so slimy.  He better hold onto Heidi because noone else would want him.  

Then the High School Musical cast showed up – Corbin Bleu, Zac and Vanessa.  Hanna Beth got the scoop on the kinds of girls Corbin likes….he's got the craziest curly head of hair – wish I could have asked him what kind of anti-frizz products he uses – they obviously work!

Victoria Beckham – Scare-O-Rama….She’s crazy looking….ice queen….we should have brought a soccer ball so we could’ve thrown it at her head.  She might be a robot….I’m not sure, but I bet she grows fangs and claws at night. 

Josh Duhamel….he’s my #1 Hollywood cutie…not sure why he chooses to date an ex-meth addict who's obviously had major work done on her face and has the worst eyebrows of the century..but whatever.

Amy Winehouse ran by but didn’t stop for any press….she looked smokin’ hot…I want her hair....love her!

Oh and then there was Paris…..is she kidding….OF COURSE she had to get one more red carpet appearance in before turning herself in.  Oh Paris…you did it all wrong…if I were your publicist, I would have had you wear a black and white striped prison dress, in handcuffs and would have had you escorted down the carpet with a slew of hot stripper guys dressed as prison guards....

THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN HILARIOUS!!

Feet were really killing by the end of the day, but we had a blast.

Hanna Beth was definitely the Queen of the Red Carpet….................................
